This initiative began in 2018 as a way to consider the future of Brookfield in the light of ‘automation’ – in particularly the changing jobs market. Looking at how we might enable local people to develop relevant skills, fit for future jobs in technology & online. It has now broadened to include ‘clean energies’ & the ‘green agenda’ and 3D design. It’s a longterm initiative that might give the building more sustainability and further alignment with the Preston Model through the development of a ‘retrofit cooperative’ and a ‘care cooperative’.
We have a website specifically for the project here.
